The experience
Cronin's Yard offers accommodation for outdoor adventurists right on the front step of Ireland's highest mountain range. If you're heading up into MacGillycuddy's Reeks to hike, climb or swim in a mountain lake, Cronin's is like your Base Camp. Low-maintenance adventurers can avail of reasonably-priced campsites or even camping pods (when you need a break from the wind and rain). If you don't want to rough it, you can opt to stay in a restored cottage with a kitchen, fireplace and a cute half-door. Please note that dogs are not allowed.
