Sandy, sheltered beach with views over Glenbeigh towards Inch, backed by an 18-hole links golf course that is one of the oldest in Ireland.

Dating from 1889, the links golf course at Dooks, with water on three sides, has been voted the most scenic in Ireland.

Lesser-known gem

With no public parking, Dooks Beach is less visited than some of our other offerings, making it an ideal place to find solitude.

Still waters

Protected by Rossbeigh Strand and at the mouth of the Caragh River, the sea at Dooks can be calmer than at other Reeks District Beaches.

White water kayaking

Head upstream on the Lower Caragh River from Dooks for some great white water kayaking.
