Farmyard Lane Glamping
Farmyard Lane is a luxury glamping site in the heart of the Reeks District. Just a stone’s throw from the MacGillycuddy Reeks and the famous Gap of Dunloe, and a 10 minute drive from Killarney, Farmyard Lane is the perfect base from which to explore Kerry’s top attractions.
The farm has been in the same family for several generations and provides exquisite views of the Reeks, and the Dingle Peninsula to the west. With pods adjacent to the main house and orchard, animal lovers will love being close to the farm’s other very important residents: a horse, donkey, calves, dog, cat, hens and honey bees. There’s plenty of wildlife too including hares, rabbits, foxes, ducks and pheasants.
Farmyard Lane’s two luxury ensuite glamping pods are located in the orchard. Each provides comfortable accommodation for up to four people. There is a small kitchen for whipping up snacks and meals, and a comfy sofa bed. An additional communal kitchen and seated area are also available to guests. Weather permitting, sit by the firepit and watch the sun go down. A barbecue may also be provided on request.
Hosts Kieran and Laura are passionate about sustainability and protecting the environment. Recyclable or natural materials have been used wherever possible throughout the site. The pods were crafted in Lixnaw, Co. Kerry by Pods Ireland. Cosy throws provided in the pods are from Kerry Woollen Mills, just down the road in Listry. Farmyard Lane’s coffee comes from Bean in Dingle. Key ingredients in the Farmyard Lane Breakfast Basket – eggs and honey – couldn’t be produced much closer to home being sourced literally over the fence! They make a great treat to kick start the day.
