WINDY GAP
This loop walk begins and ends in Glenbeigh, wending through the Windy Gap by Seefin Hill before following a slope overlooking Caragh Lake.
Along the way, you can enjoy a variety of landscapes, from the surrounding bogland and MacGillycuddy’s Reeks rising beyond the hills to Caragh Lake and finally the place where the River Caragh meets the sea near Rossbeigh Strand.
The final leg of the circuit will bring you through Glenbeigh.

This walk is along the Kerry Way, a network of walking trails that connect in the Reeks District.
FAQ
Take the Ring of Kerry Road (N70) to Glenbeigh. Park in the village. Follow the road uphill past Saint James’s Church and turn left at the Kerry Way sign.
A sandwich, water bottle and a flask of tea. Hiking boots. A rain jacket because chances are it will rain at some point during the day, but don’t let that stop you.
