CARAGH LAKE

Fed by the Caragh River, this glacial lake plays host to fishing, kayaking and paddle-boarding, as well as woodland walking in surrounding forests.

Paddleboarding (SUP)

On a still day with calm waters, stand-up paddleboarding on Caragh Lake, no matter what time of year, is a must.

Kayaking

Kayak the length of the lake as a stand-alone activity, or as part of the Reeks District Big Five challenge.

Wild swimming

Take to the water from the public access spot on the northern shore or a jetty from a lakeside home or hotel.
