Beaufort Golf Club
Beaufort Golf Club lies nestled at the base of Carrauntoohill, Ireland’s highest mountain, one of the world famous MacGillycuddy Reeks.
Set amongst 200-year-old trees, 15th century castle ruins, two lakes and miles of rolling meadows, it is easy to see why Beaufort Golf Club, situated in a spectacular natural setting, is a popular venue with golf enthusiasts visiting the Reeks District.
Beaufort’s 18 hole golf course has been redeveloped to the highest standards by world-renowned international golf course architects, Mackenzie and Ebert. This 7004 parkland course is carved from natural terrain and is suited to all standards of golfer. Part of the historic Churchtown Estate and located only 7 miles from Killarney and 4 miles from Killorglin, just off the Ring of Kerry, Beaufort Golf Course gives players a unique golfing experience that will stay long in the memory.
Beaufort Golf Club has all the facilities one would expect from a modern golf club whilst still embracing a traditional, warm and friendly atmosphere. Facilities include an excellent putting and practice green, changing room facilities, pro-shop, restaurant and a large car park. Golfers can rent buggies, clubs, electric trolleys and caddies can be arranged if required.
The club and course have been under the management of Helen and Tadhg Clifford for the last number of years. As golfing experiences go, this course lives up to its reputation as described on Trip Advisor by visitors. It really is ‘Kerry’s hidden gem’.
